A bell-shaped tea cup finished in natural black lacquer and hand-inlaid with luminous mother-of-pearl. Its pattern reinterprets the scrolling peony and lotus forms of the Tang dynasty as individually blooming blue-violet flowers, punctuated by gold-toned geometric motifs.
